At Groupie.io, we are committed to preventing SMS spam, mobile spam, and text messaging spam to protect our users from unwanted communications.

Legal Clarification:
Groupie Connect LLC is the legal entity that owns and operates Groupie.io. Groupie.io refers specifically to the software platform and service provided by Groupie Connect LLC for SMS marketing. This policy applies to all communications sent through the Groupie.io platform.

1. Our Policy

Groupie.io’s group text messaging system strictly enforces a verified opt-in subscription model. Subscribers must provide explicit consent before receiving messages. Additionally, all subscribers can opt out quickly and permanently from unwanted SMS communications by:

  • Visiting our website and managing their preferences.
  • Sending a text message to the originating short code with one of the following keywords: STOP, REMOVE, OPT-OUT, or CANCEL.

2. Our Definition of Spam

We define spam as any unsolicited, unexpected, or unwanted text message. Specifically:

  • Any text message sent without prior explicit consent is considered spam.
  • We strictly prohibit the use of third-party contact lists, regardless of whether prior consent was obtained.
  • Any communication unrelated to the subject the subscriber originally opted in for is considered spam.

3. Groupie.io Anti-Spam Policy

Groupie.io strictly follows an Anti-Spam Policy across all communications. We do not permit:

  • Unsolicited text messages, notifications, alerts, or any form of unwanted messaging.
  • Messages sent to individuals who have not provided explicit consent.

Reporting Abuse

If you receive an unsolicited message through Groupie.io, please report it by providing:

  • Sender ID
  • Your mobile number (for removal)
  • Date and time of receipt
  • Contents of the message

To report violations, contact us at abuse@Groupie.io. All reports are handled confidentially, and offending Clients will be investigated for violations.

4. Enforcement of Anti-Spam Policy

Our Terms of Use explicitly prohibit Clients from sending unsolicited messages. Clients must:

  • Adhere to an opt-in only policy.
  • Maintain compliance with opt-out requests.

All messages sent via Groupie.io are tracked to ensure compliance. If a mobile number has opted out, it is automatically added to a Global Block List to prevent further messages from any Client.

Violations & Consequences

If a violation of this policy is suspected:

  • The Client will be contacted for investigation.
  • Consequences may include warnings, service suspension, or termination.

Groupie.io complies with all applicable state and national laws regarding unsolicited bulk/group text messaging.

5. Spam & Abuse Reports

To report spam or abuse, provide:

  • Your mobile number
  • Date and time of the message
  • Contents of the message

Upon verification, your number will be removed from the sender’s list, and the Client will be restricted from re-adding your number. Contact us at abuse@Groupie.io.

6. Opt-Out / Unsubscribe

To remove yourself from a messaging list, you can:

  • Reply to the received text message with STOP, REMOVE, OPT-OUT, or UNSUBSCRIBE.
  • Send an email to abuse@Groupie.io with “OPT-OUT” or “REMOVE” in the subject line.
  • Manually manage your preferences on our website.
